## What code is window and building glass?

17 02 02, uncontaminated glass from building and demolition work. If it’s contaminated with hazardous substances, it’s 17 02 04*, the same hazardous code as treated wood and contaminated plastic. The two are a pair, so if you can’t find out what’s on it, use 17 02 04*.

## Are glass bottles 15 01 07 or 20 01 02?

- **Bottles and jars**: 15 01 07, glass packaging.
- **Other glass collected separately**: 20 01 02, when it isn’t packaging or from building work.
- **A mix of both**: 15 01 07 and 20 01 02 together.

## Are sealed glazing units with PCBs hazardous?

Yes. The list names PCB-containing sealed glazing units under 17 09 02*, and an item counts as containing PCBs from 50 mg/kg. If they’re mixed into building waste, the whole load becomes 17 09 02* instead of [17 09 04](https://complyonsite.com/tools/ewc-code-finder?code=17-09-04), so keep them apart.
