Yes. Setting up a site needs a free account, so the sign-ins have somewhere to go. Nobody signing in at the gate needs one. ### Do people need to download an app? No. The QR code opens a web page in the phone’s camera or browser. Their name, company and trade are kept on their own phone for next time. ### What about someone without a phone? Sign them in on your phone. They stay on your list for the next day. ### Can it check that people are on site? The site can ask for the phone’s location at sign-in, and either flag or refuse a sign-in without it. A location shows where the phone was, not who held it. ### Does a site have to keep a sign-in register? No law names one. [CDM 2015 regulation 13](https://www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/2015/51/regulation/13) says the principal contractor must take the necessary steps to prevent access by unauthorised people. Knowing who is signed in is one of those steps, and it gives you the list for a fire roll call. ### Does it work with the site diary? Yes.
