What changes in Connecticut?
Connecticut gives non-RCRA regulated wastes their own codes, CR01-CR05. They cover PCBs, non-water-soluble and water-soluble waste oil, waste chemical liquids and waste chemical solids. EPA's manifest table says Connecticut has no state-only waste under the RCRA manifest, so these codes belong in a state note and not the federal code index.
- Examples
- CR01, CR02, CR03, CR04, CR05
How do I choose Connecticut codes?
Look up CR01, CR02 and CR03 in the Connecticut rules for what each covers. Federal codes still apply to the waste.
What do I record in Connecticut?
CR01–CR05 waste goes in DEEP's regulated-waste records. Federal hazardous waste follows the hazardous waste manifest route.
