What changes in Washington?
Washington adds state designations for toxicity (WT01 and WT02), persistence (WP01-WP03), PCBs (WPCB) and solid corrosives (WSC2). State guidance requires calculations, concentration thresholds or a bioassay for parts of the designation.
- Examples
- WT01, WT02, WP01, WP02, WP03, WPCB, WSC2
How do I choose Washington codes?
Use Ecology’s calculations or bioassays where the designation requires them. A code lookup can't decide those results.
What do I record in Washington?
On a required manifest, Item 13 takes the federal codes that apply and any state code that isn't redundant, such as WT01.
