Is Alberta 261 hazardous waste?

Not from the code alone. Alberta 261 is an industrial category for pharmaceutical waste. Waste is hazardous only when it has a Schedule 1 property or listing and no Schedule 2 exclusion applies. The category number settles neither.

For regulated hazardous waste sent for disposal, the consignor enters the waste details on the Alberta hazardous waste manifest. Alberta’s exclusions and shipment rules still apply.

What does Alberta 261 cover?
