Quebec mixtures for section 70.9 permit holders only
Mixture of inorganic sludge and solids
Use N15 for mixture of inorganic sludge and solids. Only the permit holders covered by Environment Quality Act section 70.9 may use this mixture category.
Is Quebec N15 hazardous waste?
Not from the code alone. N15 is a Quebec residual hazardous-material category. The material has to meet the regulatory definition first, and still meet it once the exclusions and quantity rules are applied.
Record N15 as the Quebec MDR category. If the material is dangerous goods in transport, show the MDR code apart from the TDG shipping description. The category doesn't replace the UN number, shipping name, class or packing group.
A regulated movement between provinces, or into, out of or through Canada, may also need the federal movement document. Each document has its own scope, so the Quebec category alone doesn't settle the paperwork.
What does Quebec N15 cover?
This Schedule 4 category for mixture of inorganic sludge and solids. Under Quebec’s Environment Quality Act, s.70.9, only the permit holders named there may use an N-series mixture category. It sits in Quebec's section 70.9 permit-holder mixtures group, so choose it from the material's actual form, composition and source.
