    Plant trash, Class 2

Listed Class 2 office or plant-production trash; check what qualifies.

Class 2 trash from offices & plant production, such as paper, cardboard, packaging & scrap metal. Unlisted production waste is excluded.

Where does Texas form code 999 go in the Texas waste code?

In characters 5–7. The 8-character code is a 4-character stream sequence, then the 3-digit form 999, then 1 final class character. Form 999 puts the stream in the plant trash category.

Only waste already found to be Class 2 takes this form. The completed code ends in 2, and putting other waste in plant trash doesn't change its class.

When notifying TCEQ with Form 00002, enter 999 in Part F, item 71, between the sequence in item 70 and Class 2 in item 72. Follow the Form 00002 instructions. Class 2 alone doesn't need a hazardous-waste manifest.

The generator sets the class from applicable exclusions, federal hazardous-waste listings and characteristics, then Texas industrial-waste criteria. H means hazardous. 1, 2 and 3 are nonhazardous industrial classes. Process knowledge or testing backs the decision, and picking a form doesn't set the class.

What does Texas form code 999 cover?

Specified Class 2 trash from facility offices or plant operations. The list takes packaging, paper, food-service waste, glass and named metals, and some of them must be uncontaminated. Empty containers must hold no more than 5 gallons. Staff cosmetics qualify, but manufacturing and production cosmetics don't.

CodeWhen it fits
999Each item is Class 2 and meets the listed plant-trash materials and source conditions.
902Separately notified Class 2 production or laboratory refuse adds to plant trash within the annual volume and weight limits.
