Which Texas paint waste has its own route?

Hazardous paint and eligible paint-related waste can use universal waste. Nonhazardous paint and hazardous paint-treatment residues don't qualify under that paint rule.

Does residential lead paint in Texas need a business manifest?

Lead-paint debris, chips, dust and sludge from residential renovation or abatement fall under the household exclusion.

The exclusion still applies when a contractor generates the waste.

Use a C&D or municipal solid-waste facility that accepts it and follow local disposal conditions.

Don't use a business hazardous manifest just because of that lead paint.

Nonresidential lead-paint waste has no household exclusion.

Separate asbestos and other waste controls still apply.
