Which oil uses the separate Texas used-oil program?
Qualifying recycled used oil follows 40 CFR Part 279 and 30 TAC Chapter 324 instead of Part F waste-stream registration on the Notice of Registration (NOR).
That includes oil that is hazardous only because it picked up a hazardous characteristic through use.
Oil mixed with hazardous waste needs a separate mixing-rule check and doesn't get the solely-from-use treatment.
Which oily wastes need another check in Texas?
Unused oil, solvent mixtures, oily water and treatment sludge don't qualify just because they contain oil.
Keep oil, water mixtures and sludge apart, and send used oil filters by their own route.
For the paperwork, see Code, class and shipment records.
