Where does Texas form code 001 go in the Texas waste code?
In characters 5–7. The 8-character code is a 4-character stream sequence, the 3-digit form 001 and a final class character. Form 001 sits in the lab packs category.
The form says nothing about hazard. The stream's makeup, source and properties decide the class character.
For a hazardous or Class 1 shipment on a Uniform Hazardous Waste Manifest, enter the full Texas code in Item 13, across 2 blocks on paper. Add the EPA waste codes beside it. The 3 form digits alone are incomplete.
The generator sets the class from exclusions, then federal hazardous-waste listings and characteristics, then Texas industrial-waste criteria. H means hazardous. 1, 2 and 3 are the nonhazardous industrial classes. Process knowledge or testing supports the decision.
What does Texas form code 001 cover?
Lab packs of old chemicals only. The packing inventory should list the chemicals and show there is no debris. Loose old chemicals outside a lab pack don't fit this form.
