    Other anion-bearing waste

Alberta Uniform Waste Code category.

Waste that contains reactive anions other than sulphides, from labs & industry. Alberta inorganic waste category.

Is Alberta 135 hazardous waste?

Not from the code alone. Alberta 135 is an industrial category for other anion-bearing waste. A waste is hazardous only when it has a Schedule 1 property or listing and no Schedule 2 exclusion applies. The code number proves neither.

For regulated hazardous waste sent for disposal, the consignor enters the waste details on the Alberta hazardous waste manifest. Alberta’s exclusions and shipment rules apply as well.

What does Alberta 135 cover?

Waste holding other reactive anions. The category is the material or process part of the Uniform Waste Code. Transport identification, transport class and the management operation are separate parts. The industrial identification guide describes the category, and the Waste Control Regulation decides hazardous status and exclusions.

Is anion waste Alberta 135 or 134?

CodeWhen it fits
135Waste holding other reactive anions.
134Waste holding sulphides, not the other-anion stream.

Hazardous recyclables follow Alberta’s separate recycle-docket rules. The industrial category doesn’t decide the document.
