Alberta Uniform Waste Code category.

Is Alberta 134 hazardous waste?

Not from the code alone. Alberta 134 is an industrial category for sulphide-bearing waste. A waste is hazardous only when it has a Schedule 1 property or listing and no Schedule 2 exclusion applies. The code number proves neither.

For regulated hazardous waste sent for disposal, the consignor enters the waste details on the Alberta hazardous waste manifest. Alberta’s exclusions and shipment rules apply as well.

What does Alberta 134 cover?

Waste holding sulphides. The category is the material or process part of the Uniform Waste Code. Transport identification, transport class and the management operation are separate parts. The industrial identification guide describes the category, and the Waste Control Regulation decides hazardous status and exclusions.

Is sulphide waste Alberta 134 or 135?

CodeWhen it fits
