Tellurium and tellurium compounds
ACT guide entry D250; it supports interstate control and does not settle local disposal approval.
Is ACT D250 hazardous waste?
Not from the code alone. ACT interstate controls apply when the waste matches a NEPM Schedule A List 1 category and has a List 2 hazardous characteristic. The ACT list supplies the printed code, because the NEPM doesn't print A100-style numbers.
For a controlled border movement, enter D250 with the waste description on the waste transport certificate. The producer, transporter and receiver each complete their part. Get ACT EPA's consignment authorisation before bringing controlled waste into the ACT, and record the quantity, form, destination and dangerous goods details. ACT movement exclusions still apply.
What does ACT D250 cover?
Tellurium metal and tellurium compounds both fall here, whichever compound or process they come from.

Is tellurium waste always ACT D250?
| Code | When it fits |
|---|---|
| D250 | The waste contains tellurium metal or a tellurium compound. |
Use the ACT entry for an ACT movement record. A national reporting category with the same number is a different thing and doesn't set the ACT movement duty.
Which wastes take ACT D250?
| Waste | When it’s D250 |
|---|---|
| Tellurium waste | Analysis or process knowledge confirms tellurium in the waste. |
