    Concrete

Victoria: The separated building-waste component is concrete.

    When to use Y100
Victoria uses Y100 for the concrete part of a building load, once it has been separated from other materials.

Is all building rubble Victorian waste code Y100?

Y100 is concrete. Bricks are Y110, rubble has its own entry and plastics are Z500. EPA's mixed-material example uses a code for each component, not one general construction code.

What if the concrete is mixed with asbestos or chemicals?

The word concrete doesn't override a more hazardous waste description. Victoria requires the most hazardous classification when several descriptions fit. Find any contamination before sending the load to a receiver that accepts only ordinary masonry waste.

Where are the concrete waste limits in each state?

Shared classification and movement limits for concrete are on the Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia, Western Australia, Tasmania, Australian Capital Territory and Northern Territory pages.

What should I rule out before reusing concrete waste?

Rule out asbestos, soil and chemical contamination before using an inert, aggregate-recovery or ordinary building-waste route.
