Which waste code list applies in South Australia?

SA EPA's current operational list has 76 codes, with descriptions modified for SA industry. Its tracking table covers 72 of them. The interstate Policy separately has 74 distinct codes in 75 descriptions, including E110 and E130. Use the current EPA description for local operations.

How do waste classification and tracking differ in South Australia?

Use the current EPA entry for SA operational classification and its tracking field for the WasteTracker route. E120, K120, R130 and Z100 are outside that tracking table. For a border movement under the Policy, get the destination's authorisation and movement record before dispatch. South Australia's EPA table says listed wastes must be tracked when moved within South Australia or interstate. Tracking can be exempt for an emergency, movement by pipeline, residue in a container returned for refilling with the same substance, approved analysis or research, unwanted farm chemicals taken free to an approved collection scheme, or an authorised product recall. Confirm any exemption with the EPA before moving the waste.
