K120, Liquid food waste.
South Australia
Liquid food waste
SA operational entry K120 sits outside the current WasteTracker table.
Is South Australia K120 hazardous waste?
Not from the code alone. The SA EPA operational code list and its table of waste requiring tracking are separate, so a code can be on one and not the other. The description doesn't approve a receiving facility or a disposal method.
K120 isn't in the SA tracking table, so being on the operational list doesn't by itself require a WasteTracker certificate. Interstate controlled-waste requirements are separate and apply when a load crosses a border. Where SA tracking is required, enter K120 with the SA description on the certificate. The SA tracking exemptions still apply.
What does South Australia K120 cover?
Discarded food in liquid form goes here in the Northern Territory and South Australian lists. Both separate it from solid food waste and don't limit it to one food source.
