Research, laboratory and teaching chemicals
National reporting T100: new, unidentified or effects-unknown chemicals from research or teaching can fall here.
Is National T100 hazardous waste?
Not from the code alone. T100 is a DCCEEW category for hazardous-waste reporting. It groups national data and does not make every material with that description hazardous. State and territory rules decide the classification, exclusions and movement duties for a real load.
Enter T100 in the national waste-data category field when you report under that standard. It is not a national transport certificate. A movement needs the code and record accepted where it starts, plus any destination consignment authorisation an interstate controlled load needs. Use separate interstate movement controls for that, because a reporting code gives no state movement classification.
What does National T100 cover?
Chemical waste from research, development or teaching. That includes new or unidentified substances and substances with unknown effects on people or the environment.
