Used tyres
National reporting T140: check whether the catalogue covers whole tyres, large pieces or a separate local reporting threshold.
Is National T140 hazardous waste?
Not from the code alone. T140 is a DCCEEW category for hazardous-waste reporting. It groups national data and does not make every material with that description hazardous. State and territory rules decide the classification, exclusions and movement duties for a real load.
Enter T140 in the national waste-data category field when you report under that standard. It is not a national transport certificate. A movement needs the code and record accepted where it starts, plus any destination consignment authorisation an interstate controlled load needs. Use separate interstate movement controls for that, because a reporting code gives no state movement classification.
What does National T140 cover?
Discarded tyres. The general tyre description sets no quantity threshold for choosing this code. Local reporting quantities are a separate movement question.
