Metal carbonyl compounds
Australian Capital Territory D100: metal carbonyls are metal compounds bonded to carbon monoxide.
Is ACT D100 hazardous waste?
Not from the code alone. For ACT interstate controls, the waste must match a NEPM Schedule A List 1 category and have a List 2 hazardous characteristic. The ACT list supplies the printed code, and the NEPM itself doesn't print these A100-style numbers.
For a controlled border movement, put D100 with the waste description on the waste transport certificate. The producer, transporter and receiver complete their parts. Get ACT EPA's consignment authorisation before bringing controlled waste into the ACT, and record the quantity, form, destination and any dangerous goods details. The ACT movement exclusions still apply.
What does ACT D100 cover?
Metal carbonyl compounds. The entry groups them by their metal-carbonyl structure, whatever the metal, process or physical form.

Are metal carbonyl compounds always ACT D100?
| Code | When it fits |
|---|---|
| D100 | The waste holds a metal carbonyl compound on the ACT list. |
Use the ACT list's entry for an ACT movement record. A national reporting category with the same number serves a different purpose and doesn't create the ACT movement duty.
Which wastes take ACT D100?
