Beryllium and beryllium compounds
NSW D160: within NSW or interstate; the listed hazardous-characteristic test still applies.
Is NSW D160 hazardous waste?
Not from the code alone. D160 describes waste that may need tracking. Part 4 tracking needs a matching Schedule 1 waste description and a Part 3 hazardous characteristic. That test is separate from the NSW disposal classification, and the code gives no disposal class. Part 4 covers local and interstate movements.
Where tracking applies, enter D160 in the waste-code field of the IWTS Movement, with the description, quantity, parties and the receiver's Movement Authorisation. The approved system issues the Movement reference. The NSW tracking exemptions still apply.
What does NSW D160 cover?
Elemental beryllium and beryllium compounds. The category takes the element as well as its compounds, whatever the named compound or process.
