    Antimony and antimony compounds

NSW D170: within NSW or interstate; the listed hazardous-characteristic test still applies.

Antimony metal & antimony compounds, used in flame retardants, lead-acid batteries, solders, glass & alloys.

Is NSW D170 hazardous waste?

Not from the code alone. D170 describes waste that may need tracking. Part 4 tracking needs a matching Schedule 1 waste description and a Part 3 hazardous characteristic. That test is separate from the NSW disposal classification, and the code gives no disposal class. Part 4 covers local and interstate movements.

Where tracking applies, enter D170 in the waste-code field of the IWTS Movement, with the description, quantity, parties and the receiver's Movement Authorisation. The approved system issues the Movement reference. The NSW tracking exemptions still apply.

What does NSW D170 cover?

Elemental antimony and antimony compounds. The category takes the element as well as its compounds, whatever the named compound or process.
