Inorganic sulphides
NT 2013 table entry D330; confirm that the current system still accepts it before use.
Is NT D330 hazardous waste?
Not from the code alone. A waste code here is an administrative description, not the statutory listed-waste test. NT licensing generally controls listed-waste activities that are commercial or done for a fee. The waste, the activity and the licence conditions all matter.
Every controlled-waste movement into or out of the NT needs a consignment authorisation and a Waste Transfer Certificate. Its waste-code field takes the accepted code with a description. The November 2024 guide makes online tracking within the NT voluntary, but licensed operators still keep records and report volumes under their licence conditions. For a controlled border movement, enter the accepted code in that field. Read the NT code currency and movement rules first.
What does NT D330 cover?
Inorganic sulfides go here. The entry names a chemical group, not a production process, so it isn't limited to one industrial operation.
