Organic phosphorus compounds
Tasmania publishes H110 in its controlled-waste list; the characteristic test remains relevant.
Is Tasmania H110 hazardous waste?
Not from the code alone. For national-list categories, Tasmania also needs a listed hazardous characteristic, which is presumed unless shown otherwise. Tasmania adds its own controlled wastes too, so read the category and the local rules together.
Put H110 with the specific waste description in the controlled-waste consignment documentation. Record the producer, quantity, form, contaminants, registered transporter and receiver. An incoming interstate controlled load needs EPA Tasmania's consignment authorisation, and another state's certificate doesn't authorise the receiving facility. Follow the Tasmanian handling and transport rules.
What does Tasmania H110 cover?
Organic phosphorus compounds go here in the lists that use the general chemical description. Victoria uses H110 only for organophosphorus pesticides, so its H110 is a separate record.
