Research, laboratory and teaching chemicals
Victoria T100: new, unidentified or effects-unknown chemicals from research or teaching can fall here.
Is Victoria T100 priority waste?
Yes. T100 is pre-classified priority waste, so no mirror assessment decides its Schedule 5 status. Transactions and transport are both reportable.
Where the duty applies, enter T100 as the Schedule 5 waste code in the Waste Tracker record. The tracking exceptions and designation and household rules still apply.
What does Victoria T100 cover?
Discarded chemicals from laboratories, research, development or teaching. The source activity decides, and the wording also takes new, unidentified or unknown-effect chemicals.

Is laboratory waste Victoria T100?
| Code | When it fits |
|---|---|
| T100 | The chemical waste came from research, development or teaching. |
Name the waste itself before choosing a code for something in it. A chemical in soil or another material doesn't settle which description goes on the load record.
What does a Victoria T100 load need before it moves?
For a reportable transaction, the producer creates the Waste Tracker record before dispatch. A transporter or accredited consigner can do this for the producer, who stays accountable and keeps a copy. Arrange the transporter and receiving site first.
Record the code, an accurate description, form, amount, packages, treatment, industry, dispatch date and the parties involved. Add dangerous goods details where they apply. The driver records collection and delivery, and the receiver records receipt. Priority waste going to landfill, and soil that is priority waste, also needs the disposal category that applies.
