Photographic chemical waste
Western Australia T120: the source is production or formulation; use alone is outside the WA wording.
Is WA T120 hazardous waste?
Not from the code alone. T120 is a WA controlled-waste category. Regulation 3 covers industrial, commercial, medical, laboratory and sewage-treatment waste, but not domestic waste. Waste that a Class I, II or III landfill can lawfully accept is excluded, with exceptions such as asbestos, tyres and clinical waste.
For a tracked load, enter T120 in the controlled-waste category field on the DWER tracking form. DWER issues the number. The authorised carrier or driver records collection and transport, and the receiving facility closes the record. Record the holder, amount, containment and destination. The WA load thresholds and exclusions set which loads are tracked.
What does WA T120 cover?
Discarded material from making or preparing photographic chemicals or photographic-processing materials. The source can be production, formulation or use, and it covers both the chemicals and the materials used to process photographs.
