Ethers (oxygen-linked organic compounds)
Australian Capital Territory G100: in an ether, one oxygen atom joins two carbon-bearing groups.
Is ACT G100 hazardous waste?
Not from the code alone. ACT interstate controls apply when the waste matches a NEPM Schedule A List 1 category and has a List 2 hazardous characteristic. The ACT list supplies the printed code, because the NEPM doesn't print A100-style numbers.
For a controlled border movement, enter G100 with the waste description on the waste transport certificate. The producer, transporter and receiver each complete their part. Get ACT EPA's consignment authorisation before bringing controlled waste into the ACT, and record the quantity, form, destination and dangerous goods details. ACT movement exclusions still apply.
What does ACT G100 cover?
Ether waste falls here in the lists that use the narrower G100 description. The chemical itself sets it apart from their non-halogenated solvent entry G110 and halogenated solvent entry G150.

Is ether waste always ACT G100?
| Code | When it fits |
|---|---|
| G100 | The waste is an ether. |
Use the ACT entry for an ACT movement record. A national reporting category with the same number is a different thing and doesn't set the ACT movement duty.
Which wastes take ACT G100?
| Waste | When it’s G100 |
|---|---|
| Ether waste | The discarded ether or fuel is flammable. |
Which codes sit beside ACT G100?
| Code | What it is |

| E100 | Peroxide waste excluding hydrogen peroxide |
| E120 | Explosive waste |
| F100 | Paint, ink and dye waste |
| F110 | Resin, latex and adhesive waste |
| G110 | Non-halogenated organic solvents |
| G150 | Halogenated organic solvents |
| G160 | Other organic-solvent process waste |
| H100 | Biocide and crop-treatment chemical waste |
