G110, Non-halogenated organic solvents.
Australian Capital Territory
Non-halogenated organic solvents
Australian Capital Territory G110: halogenated solvents belong under G150, rather than this non-halogenated entry.
Is ACT G110 hazardous waste?
Not from the code alone. ACT interstate controls apply when the waste matches a NEPM Schedule A List 1 category and has a List 2 hazardous characteristic. The ACT list supplies the printed code, because the NEPM doesn't print A100-style numbers.
For a controlled border movement, enter G110 with the waste description on the waste transport certificate. The producer, transporter and receiver each complete their part. Get ACT EPA's consignment authorisation before bringing controlled waste into the ACT, and record the quantity, form, destination and dangerous goods details. ACT movement exclusions still apply.
What does ACT G110 cover?
Organic solvents fall here when they aren't halogenated, which is what separates G110 from G150. Process residues from making or using solvents may fit G160 instead.

Is organic solvent waste ACT G110 or G150?
| Code | When it fits |
|---|---|
| G110 | The waste is an organic solvent and is not halogenated. |
| G150 | The organic solvent is halogenated. |
Use the ACT entry for an ACT movement record. A national reporting category with the same number is a different thing and doesn't set the ACT movement duty.
Which wastes take ACT G110?
| Waste | When it’s G110 |
|---|---|
| Spent solvents | The spent solvent is non-halogenated. |
| Non-halogenated solvents | The spent solvent is non-halogenated. |
Which codes sit beside ACT G110?
| Code | What it is |
|---|---|
| E100 | Peroxide waste excluding hydrogen peroxide |
| E120 | Explosive waste |
| F100 | Paint, ink and dye waste |
| F110 | Resin, latex and adhesive waste |
| G100 | Ethers (oxygen-linked organic compounds) |
| G160 | Other organic-solvent process waste |
| H100 | Biocide and crop-treatment chemical waste |
| H110 | Organic phosphorus compounds |
