    Acidic liquids and solid acids

National reporting B100: the material may be an acidic liquid or an acid in solid form.

Waste that is acidic as a liquid, or a solid acid such as crystals or powder. A national reporting category for acidic waste.

Is National B100 hazardous waste?

Not from the code alone. This is a DCCEEW hazardous-waste reporting category that groups data nationally. It doesn't make every material with the description hazardous. State and territory rules decide the classification, exclusions and movement duties for an actual load.

Use B100 in the national waste-data category field when reporting under that standard. It is not a national transport certificate. A movement needs the accepted code and record of the state or territory of origin, plus any destination consignment authorisation for an interstate controlled load.

For national reporting, enter B100 in the national waste-data category field. A reporting code gives no state movement classification, so apply the separate interstate movement controls.

What does National B100 cover?

Acidic solutions and acids in solid form. The entry covers both forms and sets no universal pH boundary. Victoria has a separate B100 pair with its own pH threshold.

CodeWhen it fits
B100The waste is an acidic solution or an acid in solid form.

National examples illustrate the reporting category. They don't set a state's code, classification threshold or receiving-facility permission. Choose the state list before preparing transport paperwork.
