Zinc compounds
NSW D230: within NSW or interstate; the listed hazardous-characteristic test still applies.
Is NSW D230 hazardous waste?
Not from the code alone. D230 describes waste that may need tracking. Part 4 tracking needs a matching Schedule 1 waste description and a Part 3 hazardous characteristic. That test is separate from the NSW disposal classification, and the code gives no disposal class. Part 4 covers local and interstate movements.
Where tracking applies, enter D230 in the waste-code field of the IWTS Movement, with the description, quantity, parties and the receiver's Movement Authorisation. The approved system issues the Movement reference. The NSW tracking exemptions still apply.
What does NSW D230 cover?
Zinc compounds. Waste is grouped by zinc compound content, whatever the named compound, process or physical form.
