315, Other reactive salts.

  • Inorganic solids

    Other reactive salts

Reactive nonpumpable salts or chemicals not covered by cyanide or sulfide forms.

Non-pumpable reactive salts or chemicals outside the cyanide and sulfide forms. Reactive cyanides take form 313, sulfides form 314.

Where does Texas form code 315 go in the Texas waste code?

In characters 5–7. The 8-character code is a 4-character stream sequence, then the 3-digit form 315, then a class character. Form 315 describes the stream in the inorganic solids category. It says nothing about hazard. The class character depends on what the stream is made of, where it came from and its properties.

For a hazardous or Class 1 shipment that needs a Uniform Hazardous Waste Manifest, enter the full Texas code in Item 13, across 2 blocks on paper. Add any EPA waste codes. The 3 form digits alone are not enough.

The generator sets the class. Work through the exclusions, then the federal hazardous-waste listings and characteristics, then the Texas industrial-waste criteria. H means hazardous. 1, 2 and 3 are nonhazardous industrial classes. Process knowledge or testing backs the class. Choosing a form doesn't set it.

What does Texas form code 315 cover?

Reactive salts or chemicals in nonpumpable inorganic-solid form that are neither a cyanide nor a sulfide. It is the leftover reactive form in this group.

Is a reactive inorganic solid Texas form code 315 or 316?

CodeWhen it fits
315Nonpumpable reactive salt or chemical that is neither a cyanide nor a sulfide.
313Reactive salt or chemical that is a cyanide.
314Reactive salt or chemical that is a sulfide.
316Nonpumpable metal salt that is not reactive.

Name the reactive material. Record why it is reactive and why the cyanide and sulfide forms are ruled out.
