    Phenols and phenolic compounds

New South Wales M150: chlorophenols are included with other phenols where the catalogue says so.

Phenols & phenolic compounds, including chlorophenols, found in disinfectants, wood preservatives & resin making.

Is NSW M150 hazardous waste?

Not from the code alone. M150 marks waste that may need tracking. Part 4 requires a matching Schedule 1 waste description and a Part 3 hazardous characteristic. That is a tracking test, not the NSW disposal classification, and the code gives no disposal class. Part 4 covers local and interstate movements.

Where Part 4 tracking applies, enter M150 in the waste-code field of the IWTS Movement, with the description, quantity, parties and the receiver's applicable Movement Authorisation. The approved system issues the Movement reference. The NSW tracking exemptions still apply.

What does NSW M150 cover?

Phenols and phenolic compounds. Chlorophenols are in this group only where the NSW list expressly includes them.
