New South Wales M160: use only where no other organohalogen code on the same list fits.
Is NSW M160 hazardous waste?
Not from the code alone. M160 marks waste that may need tracking. Part 4 requires a matching Schedule 1 waste description and a Part 3 hazardous characteristic. That is a tracking test, not the NSW disposal classification, and the code gives no disposal class. Part 4 covers local and interstate movements.
Where Part 4 tracking applies, enter M160 in the waste-code field of the IWTS Movement, with the description, quantity, parties and the receiver's applicable Movement Authorisation. The approved system issues the Movement reference. The NSW tracking exemptions still apply.
What does NSW M160 cover?
Organohalogen compounds with no entry elsewhere in this table or Table 2. It is a residual category, used once NSW's more specific organohalogen codes are ruled out.
