K110, Grease-trap waste.
New South Wales
Grease-trap waste
NSW K110: interstate only; the listed hazardous-characteristic test still applies.
Is NSW K110 hazardous waste?
Not from the code alone. K110 marks waste that may need tracking. Part 4 requires a matching Schedule 1 waste description and a Part 3 hazardous characteristic. That is a tracking test, not the NSW disposal classification, and the code gives no disposal class. Part 4 covers local and interstate movements.
Where Part 4 tracking applies, enter K110 in the waste-code field of the IWTS Movement, with the description, quantity, parties and the receiver's applicable Movement Authorisation. The approved system issues the Movement reference. The NSW tracking exemptions still apply.
What does NSW K110 cover?
Waste removed from a grease trap, including what the trap held during use. The source is the trap itself, not any liquid waste that happens to contain grease.
