New South Wales
Animal-processing effluent and residue
NSW K100: interstate only; the listed hazardous-characteristic test still applies.
Is NSW K100 hazardous waste?
Not from the code alone. K100 marks waste that may need tracking. Part 4 requires a matching Schedule 1 waste description and a Part 3 hazardous characteristic. That is a tracking test, not the NSW disposal classification, and the code gives no disposal class. Part 4 covers local and interstate movements.
Where Part 4 tracking applies, enter K100 in the waste-code field of the IWTS Movement, with the description, quantity, parties and the receiver's applicable Movement Authorisation. The approved system issues the Movement reference. The NSW tracking exemptions still apply.
What does NSW K100 cover?
Effluent and residues from animal processing, including abattoir, poultry and fish processing waste. The entry follows the animal processing source, takes liquid and residual material, and sets no concentration threshold.
