Metal carbonyl compounds
Northern Territory D100: metal carbonyls are metal compounds bonded to carbon monoxide.
Is NT D100 hazardous waste?
Not from the code alone. This is an administrative waste code, not the current statutory listed-waste test. NT licensing for listed-waste activities generally covers commercial activity or services for a fee. The waste, the activity and the licence conditions all matter.
Every controlled-waste movement into or out of the NT needs a consignment authorisation and Waste Transfer Certificate. Its waste-code field takes the accepted administrative code with a description. The November 2024 guide makes online tracking within the NT voluntary, but licensed operators still keep records and report volumes under their licence conditions.
For a controlled border movement, enter the accepted code in the Waste Transfer Certificate's waste-code field. Check NT code currency and movement rules.
What does NT D100 cover?
Metal carbonyl compounds. The category groups them by their metal-carbonyl structure, whatever the metal, process or physical form.
