Acidic liquids and solid acids
Northern Territory B100: the material may be an acidic liquid or an acid in solid form.
Is NT B100 hazardous waste?
Not from the code alone. This is an administrative waste code, not the current statutory listed-waste test. NT licensing for listed-waste activities generally covers commercial activity or services for a fee. The waste, the activity and the licence conditions all matter.
Every controlled-waste movement into or out of the NT needs a consignment authorisation and Waste Transfer Certificate. Its waste-code field takes the accepted administrative code with a description. The November 2024 guide makes online tracking within the NT voluntary, but licensed operators still keep records and report volumes under their licence conditions.
For a controlled border movement, enter the accepted code in the Waste Transfer Certificate's waste-code field. Check NT code currency and movement rules.
What does NT B100 cover?
Acidic solutions and acids in solid form. The entry sets no universal pH boundary. Victoria has a separate B100 pair that states its own pH threshold.

| B100 | The waste is an acidic solution or an acid in solid form. |
| C100 | The waste is alkaline or a solid alkali, not acidic. |
The older table helps identify a description, but it doesn't show what the portal accepts today or an operator's current licence conditions. Get the movement approval before dispatch.
