Chromium compounds
Queensland D140: this constituent entry covers both hexavalent and trivalent chromium compounds.
Is Queensland D140 hazardous waste?
Not from the code alone. D140 is a Schedule 11 trackable-waste description. Tracking applies while the commercial or industrial waste is regulated under section 42. Check the Schedule 9 exclusions and the section 42(4) test-out route before you decide whether a movement is trackable. This code has no precedence mark when several descriptions fit.
For a tracked load, enter D140 as the waste code on the Queensland waste transport certificate. The generator supplies Part 1, the transporter Part 2 and the receiver Part 3. Lodge it by the approved online, bulk-upload or numbered-paper route. The Queensland exclusions still apply.
What does Queensland D140 cover?
Chromium compounds, in both trivalent and hexavalent forms. The description treats chromium compounds as a chemical group, not one named compound or production process.
