PCB, PCN, PCT or PBB material

Queensland M100: PCB, PCN and PCT are polychlorinated biphenyls, naphthalenes and terphenyls; PBB is polybrominated biphenyl.

Material with PCBs, PCNs, PCTs or PBBs, which are chlorinated or brominated industrial chemicals.

Is Queensland M100 hazardous waste?

Not from the code alone. M100 is a Schedule 11 trackable-waste description. Tracking applies while the commercial or industrial waste stays regulated under section 42. Check the Schedule 9 exclusions and the section 42(4) test-out route before treating a movement as trackable. This code has no precedence mark when several descriptions fit.

For a tracked load, enter M100 as the waste code on the Queensland waste transport certificate. The generator completes Part 1, the transporter Part 2 and the receiver Part 3. Lodge it through an approved online, bulk-upload or numbered-paper route. The Queensland exclusions still apply.

What does Queensland M100 cover?

Material containing PBB, PCB, PCN or PCT compounds. It covers contamination as well as articles or substances that contain one of these compound groups.

Official wording
material containing polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), polychlorinated napthalenes (PCNs), polychlorinated terphenyls (PCTs) or polybrominated biphenyls (PBBs)

Is PCB, PCN, PCT or PBB material Queensland M100?

CodeWhen it fits
M100The waste contains, or is contaminated with, a listed PCB, PCN, PCT or PBB compound.

An asterisk in Queensland's tracking list marks which description wins when several fit. It is not an EWC hazardous-waste marker. A resource leaves the waste regime only when it meets its end-of-waste code or approval conditions.

Which wastes take Queensland M100?

WasteWhen it’s M100
PCB-contaminated wasteAnalysis confirms PCB contamination on this list.
PCN-containing wasteAnalysis confirms PCN, under the combined PCB, PCN, PCT and PBB entry.
PCT-containing wasteAnalysis confirms PCT, under the combined PCB, PCN, PCT and PBB entry.
PBB-containing wasteAnalysis confirms PBB, under the combined PCB, PCN, PCT and PBB entry.
