A110, Cyanide heat-treatment waste.
New South Wales
Cyanide heat-treatment waste
New South Wales A110: heat treatment or tempering must be the source; surface-treatment waste belongs under A100.
Is NSW A110 hazardous waste?
Not from the code alone. A110 describes waste that may need tracking. Part 4 tracking needs a matching Schedule 1 waste description and a Part 3 hazardous characteristic. That test is separate from the NSW disposal classification, and the code gives no disposal class. Part 4 covers local and interstate movements.
Where tracking applies, enter A110 in the waste-code field of the IWTS Movement, with the description, quantity, parties and the receiver's Movement Authorisation. The approved system issues the Movement reference. The NSW tracking exemptions still apply.
What does NSW A110 cover?
Waste from heat treatment or tempering that uses cyanide or ends up containing it. Cyanide waste from surface treatment goes under A100.
