A130, Inorganic cyanides.
New South Wales
Inorganic cyanides
New South Wales A130: use for inorganic cyanide itself, rather than a cyanide-bearing process waste.
Is NSW A130 hazardous waste?
Not from the code alone. A130 describes waste that may need tracking. Part 4 tracking needs a matching Schedule 1 waste description and a Part 3 hazardous characteristic. That test is separate from the NSW disposal classification, and the code gives no disposal class. Part 4 covers local and interstate movements.
Where tracking applies, enter A130 in the waste-code field of the IWTS Movement, with the description, quantity, parties and the receiver's Movement Authorisation. The approved system issues the Movement reference. The NSW tracking exemptions still apply.
What does NSW A130 cover?
Inorganic cyanides, when the waste is classed by that chemical content and no more specific cyanide process entry fits. It does not take every cyanide-bearing process waste.

Is inorganic cyanide waste NSW A130?
| Code | When it fits |
|---|---|
| A130 | The waste holds an inorganic cyanide and no listed cyanide process describes its origin better. |
Match both the waste description and the movement scope. Another state or territory using the same code does not carry NSW's classification or tracking conditions with it.
Which wastes take NSW A130?
| Waste | When it’s A130 |
|---|---|
| Inorganic cyanides | The material is inorganic cyanide, not residue from a named cyanide process. |
