D310, Boron compounds.

Boron compounds
NSW D310: within NSW or interstate; the listed hazardous-characteristic test still applies.
Is NSW D310 hazardous waste?
Not from the code alone. D310 marks waste that may need tracking. Part 4 requires a matching Schedule 1 waste description and a Part 3 hazardous characteristic. That is a tracking test, not the NSW disposal classification, and the code gives no disposal class. Part 4 covers local and interstate movements.
Where Part 4 tracking applies, enter D310 in the waste-code field of the IWTS Movement, with the description, quantity, parties and the receiver's applicable Movement Authorisation. The approved system issues the Movement reference. The NSW tracking exemptions still apply.
What does NSW D310 cover?
Boron compounds. The entry goes by the boron compound in the waste, whatever the compound, process or physical form.
