Queensland D230 has no marked precedence when several descriptions fit.
Is Queensland D230 hazardous waste?
Not from the code alone. D230 is a Schedule 11 trackable-waste description. A load is tracked while the commercial or industrial waste stays regulated under section 42. Check the Schedule 9 exclusions and the section 42(4) test-out route first, as they decide whether a movement is trackable. D230 has no precedence mark when several descriptions fit.
For a tracked load, enter D230 in the waste-code field of the Queensland waste transport certificate. The generator fills in Part 1, the transporter Part 2 and the receiver Part 3. Lodge it online, by bulk upload or on numbered paper, whichever route is approved. The Queensland exclusions still apply.
What does Queensland D230 cover?
Waste with zinc compounds in it falls here. The entry goes by zinc compound content, not by one named compound, process or physical form.

Is zinc compound waste always Queensland D230?
| Code | When it fits |
|---|---|
| D230 | The waste holds a zinc compound. |
Where several descriptions fit, an asterisk in Queensland's tracking list decides which takes precedence. It is not an EWC hazardous-waste marker. A resource must meet its end-of-waste code or approval conditions before it leaves the waste regime.
