Cyanide heat-treatment waste
Tasmania A110: heat treatment or tempering must be the source; surface-treatment waste belongs under A100.
Is Tasmania A110 hazardous waste?
Not from the code alone. For national-list categories, Tasmania requires a listed hazardous characteristic as well as the waste description. The characteristic is presumed unless shown otherwise. Tasmania also sets extra controlled wastes of its own, so read the category and the local rules together.
Put A110 with the specific waste description in the controlled-waste consignment documentation. Record the producer, quantity, form, contaminants, registered transporter and receiver. An incoming interstate controlled load needs EPA Tasmania's consignment authorisation, and another state's certificate doesn't authorise the receiving facility. Apply the Tasmanian handling and transport rules.
What does Tasmania A110 cover?
Waste from heat treatment or tempering that uses cyanide or leaves cyanide in the waste, as the list states. Cyanide waste from surface treatment goes under A100.
