    Antimony and antimony compounds

WA category D170; load type and road-transport rules decide whether a tracking form follows.

Antimony and antimony compounds. In WA, a tracking form depends on load type and road-transport rules.

Is WA D170 hazardous waste?

Not from the code alone. D170 is a WA controlled-waste category. Regulation 3 covers industrial, commercial, medical, laboratory and sewage-treatment waste. Domestic waste is outside it. Waste that a Class I, II or III landfill can lawfully accept is excluded, apart from specified exceptions such as asbestos, tyres and clinical waste.

For a tracked load, enter D170 in the controlled-waste category field on the DWER tracking form. DWER issues the number. The authorised carrier or driver records collection and transport, and the receiving facility closes the record. Record the holder, amount, containment and destination. The WA load thresholds and exclusions still apply.

What does WA D170 cover?

Elemental antimony and antimony compounds fall here. That includes the element itself, not just one named compound or process.
