Peroxide waste other than hydrogen peroxide
Western Australia E100: hydrogen peroxide is outside this peroxide-waste entry.
Is WA E100 hazardous waste?
Not from the code alone. E100 is a WA controlled-waste category. Regulation 3 covers industrial, commercial, medical, laboratory and sewage-treatment waste. Domestic waste is outside it. Waste that a Class I, II or III landfill can lawfully accept is excluded, apart from specified exceptions such as asbestos, tyres and clinical waste.
For a tracked load, enter E100 in the controlled-waste category field on the DWER tracking form. DWER issues the number. The authorised carrier or driver records collection and transport, and the receiving facility closes the record. Record the holder, amount, containment and destination. The WA load thresholds and exclusions still apply.
What does WA E100 cover?
Waste holding a peroxide falls here unless the peroxide is hydrogen peroxide. The category is chemical-specific, so it doesn't stretch to every oxidising agent.
