341, Halogenated non-solvent organic liquid.
Organics
Halogenated non-solvent organic liquid
The hazardous liquid contains halogens but was not used as a solvent.
Is California code 341 hazardous waste?
Not from the code alone. Waste must first be found hazardous. Code 341 isn't a restricted code, but a restricted category that fits takes priority over it. A code that isn't restricted doesn't make waste non-hazardous.
When a shipment needs the Uniform Hazardous Waste Manifest, enter 341 in Item 13 for the waste line. Use one California code, plus the federal RCRA codes when the waste is federally hazardous.
RCRA waste meets a federal listing or characteristic, with no federal exclusion that applies. Non-RCRA waste is hazardous under California rules only. California presumes hazardous waste is RCRA unless the generator shows it isn't, so keep that determination.
What does California code 341 cover?
This code is for hazardous organic liquid holding chlorine, fluorine, bromine or iodine, in the non-solvent category. Also check the total halogenated organic compound concentration against restricted code 741.

- halogenated organic compound

Is halogenated liquid California code 341, 211, 342 or 741?
| Code | When it fits |
|---|---|
| 341 | The hazardous halogenated organic liquid is in the non-solvent category and code 741 does not apply. |
| 211 | The hazardous halogenated liquid is solvent and restricted code 741 does not apply. |
| 342 | The organic liquid also contains a metal named under code 121. |
| 741 | Total HOCs in the liquid are at least 1,000 mg/L. |
Restricted code 741 wins, although dated 2017 guidance conflicts at exactly 1,000 mg/L. The regulations don't say which of 341 and 342 wins when both fit.
Which wastes take California code 341?
| Waste | When it’s 341 |
