Australian Capital Territory M100: PCB, PCN and PCT are polychlorinated biphenyls, naphthalenes and terphenyls; PBB is polybrominated biphenyl.
Is ACT M100 hazardous waste?
Not from the code alone. For ACT interstate controls, a waste needs a NEPM Schedule A List 1 category and a List 2 hazardous characteristic. The ACT administrative list prints the code. The NEPM itself doesn't print these A100-style numbers.
For a controlled border movement, put M100 with the waste description on the waste transport certificate. The producer, transporter and receiver each complete their parts. Get ACT EPA's consignment authorisation before bringing controlled waste into the ACT, and record the quantity, form, destination and applicable dangerous goods details.
Check the ACT movement exclusions too.
What does ACT M100 cover?
Discarded substances or articles that contain, or are contaminated by, PCB, PCN, PCT or PBB compounds. Contamination counts as well as articles or substances that contain one of those groups.

Is PCB, PCN, PCT or PBB material always ACT M100?
| Code | When it fits |
|---|---|
| M100 | The waste contains or is contaminated with a listed PCB, PCN, PCT or PBB compound. |
Use the ACT administrative entry for an ACT movement record. A national reporting category with the same number has a different purpose and doesn't set the ACT movement duty.
