    Phenols and phenolic compounds

Australian Capital Territory M150: chlorophenols are included with other phenols where the catalogue says so.

Controlled waste for phenols & phenol compounds, such as carbolic acid & cresols. Chlorophenols are included with other phenols.

Is ACT M150 hazardous waste?

Not from the code alone. For ACT interstate controls, a waste needs a NEPM Schedule A List 1 category and a List 2 hazardous characteristic. The ACT administrative list prints the code. The NEPM itself doesn't print these A100-style numbers.

For a controlled border movement, put M150 with the waste description on the waste transport certificate. The producer, transporter and receiver each complete their parts. Get ACT EPA's consignment authorisation before bringing controlled waste into the ACT, and record the quantity, form, destination and applicable dangerous goods details.

Check the ACT movement exclusions too.

What does ACT M150 cover?

Phenols and phenolic compounds. Chlorophenols count only where the ACT’s list expressly includes them in this group.
