    Non-halogenated organic solvents

Northern Territory G110: halogenated solvents belong under G150, rather than this non-halogenated entry.

NT controlled waste for solvents without chlorine or other halogens. Chlorinated solvents belong under G150.

Is NT G110 hazardous waste?

Not from the code alone. A waste code here is an administrative description, not the statutory listed-waste test. NT licensing generally controls listed-waste activities that are commercial or done for a fee. The waste, the activity and the licence conditions all matter.

Every controlled-waste movement into or out of the NT needs a consignment authorisation and a Waste Transfer Certificate. Its waste-code field takes the accepted code with a description. The November 2024 guide makes online tracking within the NT voluntary, but licensed operators still keep records and report volumes under their licence conditions. For a controlled border movement, enter the accepted code in that field. Read the NT code currency and movement rules first.

What does NT G110 cover?

Organic solvents go here when they aren't halogenated. That separates G110 from halogenated solvents under G150. Process residues from making or using solvents can fit G160 instead.
