G150, Halogenated organic solvents.
Northern Territory
Halogenated organic solvents
NT 2013 table entry G150; confirm that the current system still accepts it before use.
Is NT G150 hazardous waste?
Not from the code alone. A waste code here is an administrative description, not the statutory listed-waste test. NT licensing generally controls listed-waste activities that are commercial or done for a fee. The waste, the activity and the licence conditions all matter.
Every controlled-waste movement into or out of the NT needs a consignment authorisation and a Waste Transfer Certificate. Its waste-code field takes the accepted code with a description. The November 2024 guide makes online tracking within the NT voluntary, but licensed operators still keep records and report volumes under their licence conditions. For a controlled border movement, enter the accepted code in that field. Read the NT code currency and movement rules first.
What does NT G150 cover?
Halogenated organic solvents go here. They are separate from non-halogenated solvents under G110. Western Australia marks G150 as the halogenated solvent entry for material not otherwise specified.
